We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. This role is a strategic and integral part of our company, supporting the core product platform, with a heavy focus on partnering with Sales for new revenue opportunities. This new role will give you the chance to own an end-to-end predictive human-in-the-loop solution directly used by Sales and Revenue teams.

• Design, develop, and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve complex business problems and extract actionable insights. Think attrition, card decline, potential to spend, etc.
• Analyze high volume, complex transaction activity to assess patterns and trends for card declines and correlate with other customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate data science solutions into the product roadmap and enhance customer experiences.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and machine learning, and apply them to improve existing processes and methodologies.
• Join an established senior team and provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Enrich our evolving data stack via contributing to data features/models via dbt or other means.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and programming languages such as Python or R in a cloud-based environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects into production.
• Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions that actually influence the end-user’s workflow.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and partnering with other departments to drive business outcomes.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range$116,800—$140,300 USD
