Role Summary
The License Manager Senior will oversee the management of software licenses and cloud assets to ensure compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the enterprise. This role plays a critical part in optimizing technology investments, driving savings opportunities, and shaping enterprise-wide IT asset management strategies. It’s an excellent opportunity to lead initiatives that influence both technology and financial outcomes across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the administration of software licenses and cloud usage to ensure compliance and optimize capacity.

• Identify cost savings opportunities through renewals, license harvesting, and vendor negotiations.

• Partner with the Vendor Management Office (VMO), Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align software licensing with enterprise needs.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Software and Cloud Asset Management (SAM/CAM) governance strategy.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to software licensing.

• Lead internal and external audits of IT license assets, ensuring accurate reporting and risk mitigation.

• Define and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of asset management processes.

• Forecast future asset management needs to support business growth and acquisitions

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, including Software Asset Management (SAM).

Preferred:

• Experience with Cloud Asset Management (CAM) programs and software license audits.

• Background in financial or vendor management within a corporate IT environment.
