About this role:
The Assistant Director, UX & Product Design is responsible for all aspects of the user experience and design life cycle for the GHIN suite of golfer and golf administrator products. Focus areas include user research, user experience design, product design, and design delivery to engineering partners. Key products include mobile apps (GHIN apps on iOS, Android, tablet), web experiences (ghin.com, administrative portal, kiosk), and some responsibilities designing user communications for in-app, web, email, and other marketing purposes.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to design new features and continuously improve web and app experiences.
- Create and iterate on flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Communicate design decisions, rationale, and direction through presentations and other documentation.
- Gather and apply feedback from stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for user experience design best practices.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, along with a basic understanding of system integrations and dependencies to implement scalable solutions.
- Gather research that enhances customer experience by leveraging customer feedback, online trends, benchmarking, marketing/brand activities, click/usage data, etc.
- Contribute to design systems and documentation.
- Ensure designs are inclusive and meet accessibility standards.
Where you'll be:
- This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of User Experience, User Interface, or Research experience for mobile or web products.
- Expert knowledge of mobile/app design principles, practices, standards, and styles
- Proven experience working with multi-departmental teams in gathering requirements to inform UX artifacts.
- Ability to create solutions and communicate rationale across all levels of the organization effectively.
- Expertise using Figma for design and prototyping.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Possesses forward-thinking and consistently explores emerging digital trends.
- Proven ability to apply an analytical and data-driven approach to solving complex problems.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your approach to problem-solving and design processes.
Preferred:
- Experience in a sports or golf-focused company or role
- Experience designing mobile apps for large customer bases
- Expertise in brand design and design standards
