Senior Software Architect- Enterprise Systems

<p></p> <p>Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to lead end-to-end solution delivery for major retail platforms.</p> <p>In this role, you will own a (design, trade-offs, governance), active implementation (mentoring, code reviews, select hands-on features), and operational ownership (delivery sign-off, post-release support) of high-impact solutions, bridging business requirements to working implementations. You will drive Dual-Track Agile processes, guiding the Discovery Track for clarity and design exploration, and the Delivery Track to ensure quality, traceability, and measurable outcomes.</p> <p>The ideal candidate combines deep architecture expertise with hands-on coding, practical prototyping, and AI/agent workflow integration across the software lifecycle—from analysis and design to testing, documentation, and code generation. You will mentor teams, make critical technical trade-offs, and take full accountability for delivery sign-off and post-release support.</p> <p>This role requires strong retail platform domain knowledge (POS systems, store operations), cloud-native architecture experience, and fluency with generative and agentic AI tools to accelerate development while preserving architectural integrity. You will be a key driver of engineering excellence, ensuring solutions are both innovative and operationally robust.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Instrument and leverage AI/agentic workflows to accelerate design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, specification drafting, and automated validation across the software lifecycle.</li> <li>AI-assisted development oversight, ethical compliance, and integration of generative AI tools.</li> <li>Own end-to-end solution delivery across Discovery and Delivery Tracks, converting business needs into validated prototypes, formal designs, decomposed deliverables, and accepted technical implementations.</li> <li>Lead the Discovery Track under Dual-Track Agile, rapidly prototyping and demoing solutions to validate feasibility and align stakeholders before full implementation.</li> <li>Translate discovery outcomes into delivery backlog items, ensuring design intent, architecture standards, and non-functional requirements are preserved throughout implementation.</li> <li>Lead architecture design and governance across products and integrations: produce ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration/rollback plans, and traceability matrices.</li> <li>Serve as active technical lead in client engagements: facilitate workshops, present technical solutions, make trade-off decisions, drive approvals, and act as a subject-matter expert for assigned platform areas.</li> <li>Implement and demo refe
