Title: Cloud Network Security Engineer

Location: Frisco, TX (Hybrid)

*Must be in office 3 days a week*

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Network/Security Administration:

• Design, Engineer and manage Cloud Security solutions.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for cloud systems.

NGINX Administration:

• Design, Engineer and manage NGINX applications.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot NGINX applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for NGINX systems.

Security Administration:

• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
• Provide advanced technical support for cloud network security issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT support staff.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, and processes.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with a cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

Technical Skills:

• Cloud Network Security-specific skills: Subnetting and Routing, VPN, DNS, Direct Connect, , Serverless Infrastructure, Load Balancers,  WAFs, DDoS, CDNs, Private Link.
• Strong understanding of the following network technologies: BGP, IPSec, SSL/TLS offloading, mTLS, NAT/PAT, Proxy, Reverse Proxy, IDS/IPS, L3/L4 Firewalls, iCAP.
• Experience and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP packets with ability to analyze captured packets for deep troubleshooting.

Key Competencies:

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
