Position Summary:

We're currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Security Engineer with a focus on Cloud Computing to join our team. A successful candidate will have extensive experience with AWS or Google Cloud and a proven understanding of Linux operating systems and infrastructure as code.

As a Senior Security Engineer at 2K, you will take the lead in securing our cloud-based platforms and infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading cloud security strategies, standards, and procedures. You will also be at the forefront of evaluating and mitigating risks related to our cloud environments.

What you will do:

• Design, build and deploy production security infrastructure in our AWS and Google Cloud environments while demonstrating best-in-class security practices, leveraging the services offered by both AWS and Google Cloud platforms, to build a resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
• Implement cloud security solutions in order to control the continuous monitoring, logging, availability, and backup of cloud infrastructure. Participate in security incidents and integrate event management systems to monitor and analyze security alerts.
• Regularly assess and enhance security controls and configurations in cloud environments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams, you will provide technical guidance and support, while staying informed about the latest industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in securing cloud environments and actively participating in incident response activities.

What you will need:

• 5 years of demonstrated ability in Information Security.
• Expertise in AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and experience with tools like Terraform or Pulumi is preferred.
• Knowledge of common cyber security frameworks such as Mitre ATT&CK, SANS Top 20, Cyber Kill Chain, and the OWASP Top 10. Familiarity with the Cloud Security Alliance’s (CSA) standard processes and guidelines.
• Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation, and orchestration and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is a plus.
• Ability to script or program in languages like Python, Golang, Rust, Javascript, Bash, or similar is a plus.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $105,000 and $155,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates,
