Position Title:    Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Develop, create, and modify computer applications. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. As a senior member on the Investor Portfolio Implementation Tech team, deliver software solutions that are innovative and leverage technical trends in the financial industry. Perform technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of the Portfolio Implementation platform, including SOT, IHUB and Mosaic Notification applications. Design, build, and support applications currently implemented in Angular and ReactJS. Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements, understand their challenges and design user-friendly, performance optimized technical solutions. Partner with Project Managers and Technical and Quality Assurance Leads on estimates and statuses and identify issues and risks. Partner with the Architecture team to ensure track work is aligned with the strategic direction of the enterprise. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. 

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience developing application software. Experience must include:

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages: Redux, React Router, and React Native frameworks.
• Modern UI frameworks: Angular or React
• Utilizing CSS and HTML5
• Software development using object oriented and functional designs to build production-ready systems.

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Mobile first responsive UI design including Bootstrap.
• Modern software testing frameworks: Jasmine or Jest

Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience developing application software in lieu of a Master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $158,000 - $170,000 /year.
