Job Description

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Defense and Response - Incident Management - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Formulate incident response plans, policies, and procedures for Fannie Mae with support from management, as well as coordinate internal and external stakeholders in preparation for, and response to, moderately complex incidents.
  • Stay current of incident response guidelines and current events, as well as share news resources with colleagues.
  • Create and continuously update incident response plans, policies, and procedures.
  • React to incidents in real-time, proactively look for hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions, as well as work with other technical teams for resolution and articulate complex technical troubleshooting steps effectively.
  • Coordinate internal incident response teams and lead required technical follow-up calls for moderately complex incidents.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to mitigate incidents and advise on protocols.
  • Ability to be on on-call rotation during non-business hours

  • Experience coordinating incident response process from a team leadership perspective.


Skills

  • Ability to design and implement testing scenarios to improve critical business functions. 
  • Adept at managing incident handling, resources, and people to ensure successful incident completion
  • Skills related to Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication with stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Experience identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and informing of impacted stakeholders of incident status 
  • Experience in using and maintaining MFA password management software
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Experience with cloud technologies and cloud computing
  • Experience identifying and determining levels of risk to an organization's networks and systems using cybersecurity techniques and tools such as penetration testing, application security, and intel
  • Analyzing data and discovering patterns in large data sets 
  • Knowledge of Security including designing and evaluating security systems, identifying security threats, securing computers, assessing vulnerability, etc.
  • Skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Skills related to Business Resilience including managing crisis events, assessing business impact, and planning and managing business continuity

Tools

  • Skilled in SEIM
  • Data Analysis  
  • Knowledge Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms
  • Skilled in Jira and Confluence to manage digital workflows
  • Knowledge VPN software and encrypting data
