AMP Robotics is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager in our Louisville, CO office (flexible hybrid schedule) to lead the financial operations.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and coordination of accounting areas of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and the general accounting duties and as it relates to the operation of the company. Additionally, this role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls, tracking customer accounts, and building a strong financial team. The Accounting Manager will supervise other accounting staff, and work closely with Operations, procurement, and supply chain management.
Job Duties:
- Establish and manage various accounting policies including but not limited to payroll, accounts receivable, cash, inventory, commissions, revenue and other various accounts
- Manage day-to-day, month-end close and year-end close accounting activities and monthly financial close processes: journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports
- Manage international accounting areas including payroll, reporting and external accountants
- Coordinate annual physical inventories
- Hire, train, and supervise additional accounting resources as necessary
- Proactively identify risks within processes, mitigate risks and implement key controls
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvements to business processes as well as assist in development and implementation of new procedures including system integrations
- Prepare ad hoc reports for internal and external business partners
- Manage US tax filings, payroll tax, sales tax and foreign withholding tax administration
- Assist with external audit requests
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required; Big 4 experience, CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting
- Advanced skills with Excel applications (PIVOTs, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, macros)
- Solid accounting background with strong GAAP knowledge, cost accounting a plus
- Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of NetSuite, Tipalti, Expensify also valuable.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation of goals, policies, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management and reporting
