Job Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing financial analysis and supporting the budgeting and forecasting of operating expenses, R&D, coordination of headcount expenses, standard cost, and revenue reporting. The incumbent will perform financial activities for the month end close, budgeting and forecasting processes to manage and control spend. The incumbent will possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and drive action from financial data, with minimal supervision, to build and communicate critical decision-driving reports for senior leadership.
Job Duties
- Analyze departmental operating expense, headcount, and revenue results and variances to ensure accuracy as well as identify any emerging trends.
- Be the financial eyes and ears for OSTA operations and R&D department leaders.
- Review and provide standard set of reports to Finance Managers and department leaders.
- Prepare the annual Budget and quarterly forecasts related to operating expenses. This includes preparing/updating reports, making operating expense, headcount, and revenue changes in the financial system, variance analysis, and intelligently challenging financial projections provided by department leaders.
- Prepare analysis, commentary, and reporting for the monthly close process.
- Work closely with the financial systems group to automate and implement system-based approaches for financial planning and analysis.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent knowledge is required.
- MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience required.
Preferred:
- Strong PC Skills (Excel PowerPoint Word).
- Hyperion experiences a plus.
- Strong oral written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to critically analyze and interpret financial data to provide key reports and presentations to all levels of management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner.
- Ability to think critically produce high quality work and adapt well to organizational changes.
- Communication/presentations, Business acumen, Data analytics, and Comfort around Higher Management.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $86,968.00 - $117,406.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
