Finance Lead

The opportunity

Imagine taking full ownership of a finance function built to be ahead of the curve — where 90%+ of day-to-day finance work is automated. Reporting, invoice handling, approvals, and even large parts of bookkeeping run through modern tooling: digital corporate cards, invoice digitization, OCR, automated approval flows, and tightly defined routines.

Your mission is to make sure all finance operations are correct, on time, and useful — and to keep improving how finance supports growth. You’ll run the Swedish setup end-to-end and also help build the same systematics and processes in France as we scale.

This role is perfect if you love both: building smarter systems and doing the fundamentals with pride. You’ll regularly get hands-on with reconciliations, VAT, and month-end close — because strong fundamentals are what make everything else work.

Your role

You’ll own the whole finance function and take end-to-end responsibility for ensuring a high-performing, highly automated finance department. You’ll work hands-on — but your real leverage is creating systems, structure, and control that scale.

Examples include:

• Monthly & annual close: own month-end and year-end closing; ensure accuracy, speed, and clear documentation.

• Budgeting & forecasting: update budgets and rolling forecasts; connect assumptions to reliable financial plans.

• Reporting: ensure timely, accurate reporting; validate numbers and continuously improve the reporting.

• Billing quality assurance: monitor invoicing accuracy, investigate issues, and build preventative mechanisms to reduce errors.

• KPI performance tracking: follow up on key metrics, explain variances and propose actions.

• Day-to-day accounting: hands-on reconciliations, VAT, employer contributions, and recurring compliance routines.

• Process improvement: build routines, approval flows, and internal controls — with automation as the default.

• External stakeholders: main point of contact with auditors, banks, Tax Agencies, and our accounting partner in France.

About you

• A roll-up-your-sleeves finance owner: you genuinely enjoy being close to the data and doing hands-on accounting work when needed.

• Structured and reliable: you create clarity, hit deadlines, and ensure high quality in every number that leaves the finance function.

• Automation-minded: you default to systems and workflows over manual work, and love improving how things run.

• Detail-oriented with high standards: you catch inconsistencies, improve quality, and reduce errors over time.

• Fluent in English: Swedish is a plus, but not required. (You’ll collaborate across Sweden and France.)
