Position Overview
NBCUniversal is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join our data quality team within Decision Sciences. In this role you will work directly with engineering, analytics, product, marketing, billing, finance, and a wide range of internal stakeholders
You will operate cross-functionally as needed, working with the data architecture, models and platforms, building out projects that help us monitor and evaluate data for stakeholder needs in order to ensure our data ecosystem maintains the highest possible standards for quality, integrity, privacy, security and cataloguing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform in-depth exploration of causes, trends, opportunities, and actions required to improve data quality of key metrics, KPIs, and additional data elements
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support data team, business units, and key stakeholders for complex data quality questions
- Partner with stakeholders and implementation specialist during the data onboarding phase on various projects, providing analysis and sharing best practices.
- Evaluating large datasets for quality and accuracy; proactively identifying, addressing and resolving reconcilable discrepancies through daily data analysis
- Improve data quality across products and projects by collaborating and working closely with engineering, management, product, business teams and other required team, contributing directly to development by participating in feedback sessions
- Define and operationalize processes to continuously monitor and quality check data completeness and accuracy.
- Develop a complete inventory of data clean up reports, defining the cadence for producing them and addressing uncovered issues
- Identifying and Troubleshooting data issues throughout the data pipeline
- Produce and present presentations on a medium scale for data related workflow and items of interest
- Create and manage project plans for data related workflow and items of interest
- Basic understanding of Agile, cyclical methodologies and products like Jira
- Lead small teams on project initiatives, research, troubleshooting and data democratization
- Preform Quality Testing with user journey and project and product implementations
- Share and develop best practices

Qualifications
- BA/BS in technical or quantitative discipline or relevant work experience
- 3+ years of primary experience in defining, documenting, and implementing Data Quality best practices, policies & procedures, preferably with consumer data in a large organization
- 5+ years
