Job Details
Qualifications: Candidates must have expertise in physics or a related field. Previous teaching experience preferred, but not necessary. Pre-employment background check is required. The successful candidate will be a dynamic teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom or laboratory. The available courses to be taught include introductory algebra-based physics and calculus-based physics labs. Classes begin August 18, 2025 and run until December 11, 2025.Job Description
Education Required: Candidates must have earned a master’s or doctoral degree in physics or a related field.
Responsibilities: Duties include teaching lecture sections, performing in-class demonstrations or leading experiments as well as grading assignments and holding regular office hours. This position will be for the Fall 2025 semester. The available courses and class times are listed below:
Algebra-based Physics 101 (integrated lecture and lab) Tues and Thurs from 8:00 – 10:00 am
Algebra-based Physics 111 (integrated lecture and lab) Tues and Thurs from 2:00 – 4:30 pm
Calculus-based Physics 201 Lab Mondays 4 – 6:45 pm
Calculus-based Physics 201 Lab Mondays 5 – 7:45 pm
