As the Manager, Business Implementation on the Trend Management and Value Based Programs team, you will lead and manage the implementation of business focused initiatives, systems, and projects that execute on Premera’s strategic direction to improve total cost of care and quality outcomes to customers. This role will lead a team of implementation managers and coordinate with key business leaders across multiple departments to drive alignment of the individual projects. You will assist teams in defining, tracking, and attaining critical success measures, and assisting in the design and startup of project deliverables. Responsibilities include guiding project team through work plan development and all aspects of managing the work, ensuring key milestones are clearly defined and met, developing mitigation plans as needed, and creating and managing project budget.
This is a hybrid position at our Mountlake Terrace campus.
What you’ll do:
- Provides leadership for complex initiatives, projects and programs
- Develop work schedules and plans for assigned large and complex implementations with multiple contingencies and undefined deliverables
- Leads team of implementation managers to be assigned to various business project, aligning on priorities, processes, and performance expectations, providing guidance and direction to ensure stated project activities and objectives are successfully accomplished
- Collaborates with business partners to ensure appropriate scope and considerations are included in the implementation plan. Advises leadership on the project or initiative planning, tracking and implementation of key enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that include both business and system related aspects
- Lead project governance and the change control processes to ensure that project budget, schedule, and scope are maintained within the approved project baselines
- Collaborate with other project leads across Premera to synchronize work plans and resources and minimize conflicts across the multiple in-flight projects
- Clearly articulate project status, risks, and outlook to appropriate leadership that may include any or all of the following: the Initiative Sponsor, Executive Oversight Committee, Steering Committee, Board of Director and leadership team meetings
- Manage key stakeholder expectations; working closely with senior leadership or project leadership to prepare and deliver for key meetings or presentations including the development of communication content for various internal and external audiences.
- Ensures assigned projects deliver value to Premera by identifying and tracking tangible benefits and measurable outcomes and oversee successful transition of work and responsibilities to the appropriate business teams as part of the project close-out activities.
- Establishes project team participants; coordinates team activities and schedules, provides feedback to line managers on team member's performance,
- May include partnership with IT resources to enable delivery of system related enhancements.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business, or healthcare, or related field or (4) years’ work experience (Required)
- (8) years of project/program management experience (Required)
