Associate Tutor - Paid Work Experience

Are you a senior at Epic High School - South looking to gain valuable work experience while making a difference? Toolkit Tutors is hiring two motivated students to work as paid tutors at Hawtree Creek Middle School. You’ll help prepare younger students for their state tests in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math while learning essential skills like tutoring techniques and how to teach study strategies effectively.

This is a part-time position for approximately 6-10 hours per week during the school day, running from October through May. It’s a unique opportunity to earn $18/hour while building your resume and learning valuable skills that will set you up for success in college and beyond.

What you’ll do:

• Tutor middle school students in ELA and Math to help prepare them for the state exams.
• Teach study skills such as note-taking, organization, and test strategies (while improving your own study skills).
• Participate in paid, professional training sessions to improve your tutoring skills.
• Gain mentorship and real-world experience in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Current junior or senior at Epic High School - South.
• A strong desire to help others succeed in their academic journey.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, organized, and willing to learn new skills.
• Available to work up to 10 hours per week during the school day (likely between 7:30am-9:30am daily depending on your class schedule.)
