PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
The Business Process Systems Manager is a leader and transformative force, driving their own team of analysts and cross functional technical administrators along with vendors and business line teams to align technology and process initiatives with lending strategic goals. This role is instrumental in establishing scalable, best-in-class lending systems and processes to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across the entire lending value chain. As a champion of sustainable change, the Business Process Systems Manager will inspire their team and cross functional teams to implement streamlined lending solutions that simplify complexity and deliver meaningful business impact.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Alignment and Stakeholder Engagement
- Works closely with senior lending, credit, and operations executives to develop the enterprise system lending strategies and related product(s) vision. Leads the cross-functional collaboration across technology and the entire lending value chain (including risk, compliance, customer service, marketing, etc.).
- Creates stakeholder and executive summaries to regularly report lending systems optimization progress, insights, and business impacts. Effectively communicates the value of lending system process optimization initiatives across the organization.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing agile scrum team of business system analysts, cross functional technical administrators, operations and business line subject matter experts.
- Ensure team alignment with system lending strategic goals and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Product and Program Management
- Manage the nCino lending platform (and other related lending systems), engages with the vendor to fully understand and stay updated on solution capabilities, participates in a leadership role as part of user groups, attends conferences and training.
- Build a lending systems continuous improvement program using a roadmap prioritization framework influenced by the system lending strategies and product(s) vision.
- Lead the integration and optimization of lending systems across business units, ensuring the platform is fully utilized to automate workflows, enhance customer relationships, and drive business outcomes. Build a center of excellence with cross functional champions that will drive testing, training, and best practices across the business lines.
- Develop data driven insights leveraging system reporting and analytics to monitor performance, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions that optimize business outcomes and ensure alignment with lending system strategic objectives.
- Process Optimization, Innovation and Change Management
- Leads the mapping, analysis, and human centered redesign of existing system lending processes to design the use of automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics capabilities to streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, and improve operational performance.
- Apply methods of rapid-cycle hypothesis testing and proof of concepts to build and scale new tools, systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Act as a change agent, guiding the bank through process transformation initiatives while ensuring adoption of new technologies and workflows. Provide leadership in managing resistance to change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
Develops, owns and executes on the enterprise system lending strategies and related product vision. A key skill will be to merge the competing priorities and constraints across internal stakeholder teams into a thoughtful and detailed roadmap. Directs their team of analysts and cross functional technical administrators to translate the lending system strategy into solvable business problems and drive senior leader’s stakeholder alignment decisions based off recommendations outlined by the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in building and leading cross functional agile continuous improvement teams and programs in the technology, lending, banking, or product fields.
