Location
Montgomery, ALPurpose
- Overseeing the coordination engineering activities related to Technical Cost Reduction of selected vehicles in support of the Cost Optimization Committee.
Major Responsibilities

Represent Hyundai Motor North America in technical cost management during Product Development.

Lead cross-functional teams (R&D, Design, Manufacturing, etc.).

Design improvements to reduce cost while enhancing quality, reliability, and durability.

Self-generate and develop cost-saving ideas.

Present technical reports and track idea status weekly.

Conduct cross-functional quality and engineering meetings.

Manage cost optimization ideas and meet technical cost reduction targets.

- Conduct, as needed, cross-functional quality and engineering meetings.
- Document and manage incoming cost optimization ideas, create validation plans, and ensure execution.
- Represent the Cost Optimization Organization in VA/VE-related activities.
- Responsible for meeting technical Cost reduction targets.
Education
~ Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.Related Experience

6+ years in automotive OEM or Supplier roles.

Experience in Design, Engineering, Purchasing, or Finance.

Knowledge of US vehicle homologation requirements and core components.
- Working experience in one or more areas of the vehicle is required: body, closures, mechanisms, exterior trim, interior trim, seats, etc.
- The ideal candidate is skilled at and enjoys technical problem-solving.
Skills/Knowledge

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in CAD tools (CATIA V5 ideal), technical drawings interpretation, and automotive assembly tools.
Certification
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Satisfactory driving record is required.
