OTP Application Engineering Manager

SUMMARY

The OTP Application Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the Application Engineering group and coordinating activities of Outage Technologies and Processes (OTP) Power Skills.  Responsible for managing/planning the Generator Bulletins (GB’s) associated with jobs being quoted.  Drives business excellence by improving the tracking and execution of the GB’s by pre-planning packages during the GB creation. Responsible for process turnover and revalidation to the project management. Maintain and track generator parts order and disposition Engineering Service Requests related to generator parts and GB’s.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of the OTP Application Engineering group.
• Create and maintain financial information populated in Engineering folders.
• Coordinate with Project Manager (PM), OTP Generator Service Engineering (GSE) and site lead(s) to track performance of Generator Bulletins (GB’s).
• Maintain and update GB’s in Windchill.
• Develop an excel based spreadsheet to track time spent on jobs by task in order to compile the data and develop algorithms based on tasks and type of unit.
• Collaborate with OTP GSE, MELCO/MEPPI, and Mitsubishi Generator.
• Work with Long-Term Service Agreements Program Managers and Ops managers to ensure parts are ordered on time per outage requirements.
• Develop unit and outage specific work scopes, including necessary parts lists.
• Track generator parts quotes through third party vendors.
• Maintain and track generator parts orders.
• Coordinate the development of generator parts BOM’s.
• Manager the disposition of ESR's related to generator parts and GBs.
• Perform other such duties as may be required.

• Business travel as necessary per projects demands overnight, air/land with min of 15%
