Your Impact

BOTE is looking for a self-motivated and eager-to-learn Junior Design Intern to help design, develop and specify the future of the product portfolio. This position requires a strong foundation in visual design (2D and 3D), creativity and a desire to directly contribute to the success of a premium outdoor watersports and lifestyle brand. The entire product team shares the soul of what it means to be a BOTE product and this candidate must be able to integrate themselves into the culture and share in the passion of what the products represent. 

What You'll Do: 

• Act as an instrumental contributor to New Product Development activities 
• Create photo-realistic 3D renderings from our computer models and texture libraries of existing product in Keyshot for use on the web, socials and sales presentations. 
• Support creation, validation and maintenance of Production Sheets, Graphic Files and Packaging Artwork working with our production designer. 
• Ensure product specifications and associated assets clearly communicate critical features and dimensions required by suppliers for production activities 
• Drive consistency across product models and categories in terms of documentation, dimensioning and feature call outs 
• Contribute to ideation and development of new product initiatives across all existing and potential BOTE categories 
• Assist with rapid prototyping, testing of new prototypes and gathering feedback 
• Manage tasks and priorities to ensure critical deliverables are met within expected timelines to keep overall development schedules on track 

Ideal Skillset 

• Adept at Adobe Creative Suite with an intermediate level of skill – Illustrator, Photoshop, layers, retouching photos and drawing physical products 
• Adept at Keyshot with intermediate knowledge of the materials, use of scenes and virtual camera positions and lighting 
• Can work through feedback critical to business success and be able to make corrections in work as design/development changes 
• Must be a self-starter and fit with BOTE culture. 
• Must have a portfolio demonstrating skills above with attention to detail 
• Strong communication skills are a plus both in verbal and visual communication with hand and digital sketching 

Tasks 

• Sketching, digital and hand. Concept development & brainstorming with the team 
• Research and Develop SOP documentation for key NPD processes 
• UPC creation and packaging updates 
• Photoshop - lifestyle imagery for new graphics with no structural changes 
• UPC/PNG creation 
• Keyshot - 3D product Renderings (web, social) 
• Adobe Illustrator – Production Sheets, FAQ development for marketing handoff 
• Verify master dims and weights information for all product lines with a physical clipboard, tape measure, scale and a pen
