Intern, Supply Operations (Pumping and Storage)

Job Summary

The Supply Operations Department at Aquarion Water Company is looking for an intern!

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist operators with collection of water samples and preform laboratory testing such as CL2 and PH.
• Take drawdown readings from remote wells.
• Input and review data from well fields and pump stations.
• Under direction of an operator review operations of plant motors, chemical feed systems, pumps and other equipment.
• Assist with operation and adjustment of gate valves and regulators.

Education/Certifications

• Knowledge of basic tool usage would be helpful.
• Hard working, self-motivating.
• Able to work with others and follow safe working procedures.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Salary

• This internship will be approximately 30-40 hours a week, Monday through Friday (7:00AM to 3:30PM).
• Successful candidate will be working out of our Shelton office.
• The internship program will run from June through the end of August. 
• Salary will be $19.00/hour.
