WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide system administration support for Empower CDS. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, user account management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will also perform supplemental testing or troubleshooting in support of the QC laboratory. This is a first shift position located at our Raleigh, NC site.

 

YOUR ROLE

• Familiarity with the Empower project archive, restore process, and associated audit trail review.

• Administration of the Empower software from the vendor Waters Corp.

• Understanding of the purpose of Chromatography testing and how to support scientists.

• General understanding of GxP principles and their application to validation and maintenance of software programs.

• Performance of change control activities for the local instance of the system as required.

• Serving as the primary link between corporate support teams and local users.

• Acting as Subject Matter Expert for systems on site projects.

• Providing and following up on ideas for continuous improvements in local administration activities and procedures.

• Managing and performing account creation and maintenance, twice yearly audits.

• Maintaining connectivity for integrated instruments, hardware, and peripherals/accessories.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND

Education

• PhD or Masters in Chemistry, or related science.

Experience

• Minimum of 0-1 years experience as an Empower administrator.

• Empower system administration course from Waters Corporation.

Skills/Abilities

• Familiarity with the Empower project archive and restore process.

• Administration of the Empower software from the vendor Waters Corp.

• Understanding of the purpose of Chromatography testing and how to support scientists.

• Understanding of GMP principles and their application to validation and maintenance of software programs.

• Ability to determine and implement appropriate change management processes for the project.

• Compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Safe working practices in the execution of assigned duties.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to perform as part of a team.
