Health Unit Coordinator - 2M Acute Medical

Work Shift:

Day - 12 Hour (United States of America)

7p-7a (12 Weekly Hours)

I. Position Summary:

Responsible for bed assignment for admission of patients in assigned area. Maintains up-to-date medical records and order entry on all patients on the unit. Performs clerical and receptionist duties. Performs other patient comfort duties needed to maintain the flow of patient care within the system. Is responsible for carrying the mission, vision, values and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.

II. Qualifications:

A. Education & Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.

B. Experience:
One (1) year clerical experience or six (6) months experience as a Houston
Healthcare Patient Care Technician.

C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.

D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment.

Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
