The Associate Client Manager, Customer Insights is responsible for developing and delivering analyses and insights to your client stakeholders, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of customer behavior and how to leverage those insights into better decision-making. This role involves supporting business objectives such as category strategy development, execution of merchandising/category management plans, and addressing ad hoc strategic and tactical client issues. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the broader NIQ team to develop insight-driven recommendations and support client needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Data Analysis and Insights: 

    • Carry out data analysis leveraging NIQ’s suite of products, with an understanding of your client’s business needs

    • Interpret, document, and present data-driven retail insights to multiple client stakeholders

    • Simplify/visualize data and translate numbers into a compelling story for clients with insightful callouts and actionable recommendations 

    • Ensure data quality and accuracy in your analyses

  2. Client Relationship Management: 

    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients and internal NIQ stakeholders

    • Understand client needs and priorities and manage expectations around deliverables

    • Provide a consultative approach in delivering relevant ideas, solutions, and results to clients

    • Drive customer satisfaction through analyses and delivery of relevant and impactful insights

  3. Project Management: 

    • Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects

    • Support the timely delivery of client-ready content to client stakeholders in the appropriate format

    • Develop execution plans for the implementation of recommendations within client organizations

    • Participate in special projects as required

  4. Collaboration and Communication: 

    • Work collaboratively with other members of the Insights team to extract, analyze, and package data for client deliverables

    • Share learning and best practices among peers and cross-functional teams

    • Communicate complex topics to people with varying levels of experience and understanding

    • Interface with client stakeholders to understand their needs and manage their expectations

    • Identify client needs and surface up commercial opportunities to the sales team to pursue

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business, Economics, Math/Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail or CPG industry and/or related sales, category management, market research
  • Prior experience customer/loyalty insights, transaction-log based analytics solutions preferred  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with full command of both written and spoken English
  • Ability to translate analytical results into clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $64,000-$82,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
