Financial Information Systems Senior Analyst - City

PAY 

$33.80 - $51.62 Hourly

The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant and/or the City’s step placement policy.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is located in the Accounting and Financial Reporting Division of the Finance Department within the City of Oklahoma City and reports directly to a Financial Information Systems Manager.  Employees of this classification perform duties of a professional and team lead nature requiring skills, knowledge, and abilities acquired prior to assuming the duties of the position.  The Financial Information Systems Senior Analyst is a team lead and assists the manager with the workflow of a work section comprised of Financial Information Systems Analysts, Municipal Accountants I, II, III, and other accounting clerical personnel.  Essential job functions include: Assisting in leading a section to provide assistance to operations supervisors and application support staff to successfully troubleshoot and correct system errors; preparing financial reports for management; and providing assistance and training in using standard application software.  Other duties and responsibilities include: creating, collecting, and maintaining system documentation; installing and configuring hardware components; monitoring system performance; participating in testing and implementation of system enhancements and development; responding to technical questions or concerns raised by staff and by users; and performing preventative maintenance tasks.  As a financial and technical expert, the Senior Analyst acts as a liaison between the department, internal customers and /or external vendors.  The work is performed primarily independently, and has frequent contact and information exchange with other City employees, outside agencies and customers to provide or obtain information related to application systems, banking statements, financial reports, etc. Work efforts and final products are reviewed at the discretion of the supervisor.
