Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider – Cleveland Clinic Indian River -Sebastian & Pointe West Urgent Care locations

Cleveland Clinic Indian River is expanding its team and seeking dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our dynamic walk-in primary care group. This multidisciplinary team includes Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Physicians working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

We are currently recruiting a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care department. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role that involves providing comprehensive ambulatory care to patients aged six months and older. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and possess at least one year of experience in an ambulatory or primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population.
  • Performing a wide range of clinical procedures and managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, coordinated care.
  • Facilitating appropriate follow-up and referrals as needed.
  • Maintaining flexibility to float to other ambulatory care departments or locations based on staffing needs.

Position Details:

  • Primary Location: Sebastian & Pointe West Urgent Care locations
  • Schedule: Variable hours based on location and operational needs; may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ambulatory or urgent care setting.
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.  Works in collaboration with the health care team.
  • Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
