The Difference You Make:

The Analyst, Application Developer develops and maintains software applications and develops programs in required language to meet project schedule. The incumbent maintains and supports existing software applications, identifies and resolves basic application issues and bugs; escalates complex application issues to management for resolution.

We are looking for a dedicated junior product focused on joining and deliver solutions to grow our Capital Markets business globally. As a key contributor, responsibilities include maintaining Santander applications, manage budgets, conducting analysis, working on presentations, and delivering them to stakeholders. Write use cases, user stories, conducting analysis on integration related to SaaS based projects by working with external vendor contacts and Santander resources. Write detailed specifications for development of custom programs, test and implement the automated solutions. Handle project activities including scope management, overseeing the project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, scope and definition. Explore and learn new technologies/frameworks

Key Qualifications

• Candidate should be familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), methodologies involved in Agile workflow models
• Had prior experience of development skills on JAVA/.NET applications
• Assist in analyzing and deploying hardware or software updates and other patch management directives.
• Responds to inquiries and refers issues to the appropriate department or person and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved.
• Contribute to the implementation of all IT related policies and procedures.
• Recommends enhancements to existing software and applications to improve effectiveness.
• Configure and administer systems or applications to ensure changes are methodologically planned, executed and verified.
• Helps maintain quality, organization, and automation of software applications.
• Interacts with business areas, and systems analysts and/or business analysts to gain input and support decision making.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced IT Specialists.
• Analyzes user stories written by domain experts and translate to technical solutions.
• Assists in special projects and tasks for the department of a diverse nature.
• Prepares a variety of routine and special reports as required.
• Escalates work issues to Team Lead or Manager as needed
• Troubleshoot incidents reported by business units or end users.
• Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions.
• Has prior experience on creating websites and/or tools for business by ability to demonstrate skills such as simple .vbs, macros or any web-based framework
• Have proven track record on working with users and business analysis team to deliver projects. The candidate is expected to work with teams in Spain/Mexico and NY
• Hands-on business analysis skills and project management skills are highly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering finance projects on time, working with various internal and external teams.
• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills, in addition to the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and drive consensus with key constituents.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive issue resolution across teams; Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and sensitive to established schedules and scopes.
