Director of Facilities and Food Services
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and execute strategic and operational plans for facilities usage.
- Serve as the liaison for facilities vendors.
- Prepare and manage department financials to adhere to budgetary priorities.
- Develop a system for overseeing janitorial, maintenance, and food inventories.
- Ensure the agency is in compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (COA, USDA, DHHS, OSHA, DOL, State Fire Codes, Health and Wellness Codes, etc.)
- Manage, supervise, and professionally develop direct reports. Including, but not limited to scheduling, time-off requests, and training.
- Develop, maintain and track Facility Warranty Records, Deferred Maintenance Plan, Capital Needs/Wants, etc.
- Monitor and continually update agency safety and emergency response planning to meet needs. (MSDS, Lock-Down, Fire, Tornado, etc.)
- Responsible for coordinating agency communication pertaining to drills closures, and other emergency issues.
- Manage municipal access systems.
- Work with programmatic leadership to ensure a timely turnover of facilities in the event of staff and client turnover.
- Manage the facilities software management system.
- Plan, coordinate, direct and assist volunteers working on facility tasks.
- Co-lead agency safety committee.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Self-motivation and systems-based leadership
- Ability to track and verify work performance of a facilities staff
- Knowledge of maintenance and facilities management software systems
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to read, understand, and apply:
- laws and licensing and accreditation standards.
- instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Demonstrated skill in maintaining accurate and thorough reports and records; to work constructively and interact professionally with others; to coordinate multiple tasks; and, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
Vehicle Requirements:
- Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements.
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
- Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements.
Environment:
- Majority of work is performed in an office environment. Duties are performed in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
