Description

Director of Facilities and Food Services  

Essential Job Duties:   

  • Develop and execute strategic and operational plans for facilities usage. 
  • Serve as the liaison for facilities vendors. 
  • Prepare and manage department financials to adhere to budgetary priorities. 
  • Develop a system for overseeing janitorial, maintenance, and food inventories. 
  • Ensure the agency is in compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (COA, USDA, DHHS, OSHA, DOL, State Fire Codes, Health and Wellness Codes, etc.)  
  • Manage, supervise, and professionally develop direct reports.  Including, but not limited to scheduling, time-off requests, and training. 
  • Develop, maintain and track Facility Warranty Records, Deferred Maintenance Plan, Capital Needs/Wants, etc. 
  • Monitor and continually update agency safety and emergency response planning to meet needs. (MSDS, Lock-Down, Fire, Tornado, etc.) 
  • Responsible for coordinating agency communication pertaining to drills closures, and other emergency issues.  
  • Manage municipal access systems.  
  • Work with programmatic leadership to ensure a timely turnover of facilities in the event of staff and client turnover.  
  • Manage the facilities software management system.  
  • Plan, coordinate, direct and assist volunteers working on facility tasks. 
  • Co-lead agency safety committee. 
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

  • Self-motivation and systems-based leadership 
  • Ability to track and verify work performance of a facilities staff 
  • Knowledge of maintenance and facilities management software systems 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply:  
  • laws and licensing and accreditation standards.  
  • instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.  
  • Demonstrated skill in maintaining accurate and thorough reports and records; to work constructively and interact professionally with others; to coordinate multiple tasks; and, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlines. 
  • Strong verbal and written skills. 

 

Vehicle Requirements: 

  • Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements. 
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.   
  • Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements. 

 

Environment: 

  • Majority of work is performed in an office environment. Duties are performed in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
