People Business Partner – Part Time
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£34,660 per year
28 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 12 months
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to provide support and guidance on employment related matters to our Central Services and Development teams. You will join a team of Business Partners who provide people relations support to managers and colleagues across various business areas and report into a team of People Business Managers. The role will be based at Worcester but with hybrid working arrangements to include a mixture of working from home and in the office.
The role of People Business Partner will include:
- Providing employment advice and support to managers and colleagues on topics such as performance management, absence, disciplinary and probation, to ensure compliance with policy, legislation and minimising risk to the business
- Proactively managing cases in all areas of people relations;
- Supporting the business with change programmes
- Maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with internal customers (including senior managers)
- Effectively responding to queries from managers and colleagues
- Making Occupational Health referrals where necessary and following up accordingly
- Delivering HR policy training to managers
- Attending and supporting with staff council meetings
- Supporting the Group’s People Strategy
Skills and experiences:
- Recent experience of a similar role
- Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
- Chartered Member of CIPD (or equivalent)
- Experience of delivering expert HR advice and support
- Experience of supporting with change programmes
- Ability to prioritise and manage own caseload
- Experience of maintaining effective working relationships with managers and senior managers
- Working knowledge of current employment legislation and good practice principles
