Job Description

Vuori is seeking a highly motivated retoucher to join our quickly growing creative and marketing team. This role will be responsible for a wide range of image related post production work including but not limited to high end fashion and lifestyle imagery retouching, color management, quality control, external retouching management, image selects and more. Expertise in Adobe CC with a focus on Photoshop, Capture 1 and other retouching plugins and applications.

In addition, the position requires thorough knowledge of image post production workflows, industry standards and best practices as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight turnarounds

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Hands on high end image retouching for Vuori’s fashion and lifestyle imagery.
• Management of post production for all image categories including fashion, lifestyle, ecomm, product photography.
• Work with outside vendors for various aspects of the retouching process, including mark-ups of ecomm and lifestyle imagery to align with brand aesthetic.
• Enthusiasm for exploring new techniques and ideas in pursuit of improving existing workflow.
• Knowledge of studio photography and lighting practices, as well as photographic vocabulary and terms.
• Retouching images to established aesthetic standards/technical specifications, and delivering consistent, error-free edits for distribution across multiple platforms.
• Perform quality assurance checks for all vendor retouched imagery - quickly and efficiently evaluate images to identify any potential issues that must be addressed.
• A passion for creativity, are active team participants and contributors to a creative work culture.
• Work with Photo Director, Sr. Art Director, asset manager, broader creative team, and cross functional groups to assist with any imagery post production needs.
• Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to image retouching.
• Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively outstanding, delivered in a timely fashion and within agreed budgets.
• Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success.
• Collaborate with other divisions to create a unified look & feel across the brand.
• Keep up with the latest technologies and constantly push the brand forward.
• Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
• 3-5 years professional experience in a design agency, in-house firm, brand or similar in the fashion industry.
• Outstanding knowledge and expertise in all aspects of retouching, photography, digital image creation, and post production.
• Expert understanding of all file formats, color spaces, color profile workflows, and industry-pre-press standards.
• Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping workstreams moving forward simultaneously.
• Experience making image selects and culling large image sets down.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at communicating and defending creative work.
• Attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects.
• Proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the work, continually pushing the vision forward.
• Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Bridge, as well as Capture 1.
• Experience with image export for both digital and print print applications.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented, organized and methodical approach to retouching.

Additional Information

Pay Range: From $75,000 - $90,000 annually
