Job DescriptionMaxar is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our team in Westminster. This role is pivotal for our organization, leading critical enterprise-wide initiatives focused on large business application transformations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects involving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and/or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) implementations, and will serve as a key leader within our current IT Project Management Office (PMO) team.
What you’ll do day to day (with your colleagues):
Lead End-to-End Project Lifecycles: Drive the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale enterprise business application implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).
Strategic Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with, influence, and manage expectations of all project stakeholders, including executive leadership, business users, and technical teams.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans to ensure project success.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and allocate resources efficiently to optimize project outcomes.
Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants involved in implementations.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for project management methodologies within the PMO, contributing to continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to other project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise project status reports to all relevant stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and next steps.
Minimum requirements for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on leading large-scale enterprise business application implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).
Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
Demonstrated expertise in large business application transformation projects, showcasing a deep understanding of the complexities involved.
Proven success in a leadership role within a PMO, with the ability to influence and guide project management best practices.
