POSITION   SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to perform   basic maintenance tasks associated with landscaping, hardscaping, building   systems, and snow and ice removal to ensure efficient operation of the McAdoo, PA facility.

DUTIES   AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform   general landscape maintenance using handheld and riding equipment, may   operate heavier tractor equipment as needed. 
• Operate   small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing. 
• Operate   utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris. 
• Remove   tree limbs, overgrowth, and other hazards. 
• Rake   fallen leaves and remove debris. 
• Keep pedestrian   areas and parking lots free of snow and ice during winter months. 
• Operate   heavier snow blowers, snowplows, or other equipment as needed. 
• Oversee   maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, and hardscape walkways.
• Other miscellaneous   grounds maintenance tasks such as picking up trash and garbage. 
• Properly   store and handle all equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. 
• Expected   to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain   sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to   management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety,   food quality or personnel safety. 
• Maintain   a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that   you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

REQUIRED   EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

• High   School Diploma or GED.

PREFERRED   EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

• 6+   months experience in grounds maintenance work. 
• Ability   to operate forklift, walkies, scissor and boom lifts, skid steer, backhoe, roller, company vehicles, plow, mower, weed trimmer, dump truck, etc. 
• Ability   to understand and follow oral and written instructions. 
• Ability   to use hand tools and power tools. 
• Ability   to work out-of-doors in different climatic conditions for several hours at a time. 
• Basic   knowledge of methods, techniques, materials, and equipment used in grounds maintenance work. 
• Basic   knowledge of power lawn-equipment operation and maintenance. 
• Requires   the ability to work varied shifts and irregular hours during inclement weather. 
• Occasional   weekends and holidays are required.
