Director, Installer (Channel) Sales
Organizationally, Lunar is divided into two sales teams: 1) Installers and 2) Utilities, both of which have access to sell the full ecosystem of Lunar’s hardware and software, products and services. For this role, Lunar is looking for an exceptional commercial leader to rapidly grow Lunar’s Installer business across North America.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…
- Execute on Lunar’s go-to-market strategy across a wide range of installers with the goal of developing a committed portfolio of strategic channel partners who learn to rely on Lunar for the growth of their business.
- Target and drive opportunities with high value prospective installers
- Clearly communicate Lunar’s value proposition
- Initiate and manage the sales process and relationship from initial prospecting through piloting, on-boarding, ramping and scaling their business with Lunar.
- Bring new offers to market
- Expand sales and channel partnerships into new markets and territories
- Maintain competitive intelligence across the entire value chain
- Collaborate with the wider Commercial, Business/Market Development, Product, Legal and Finance teams to develop offers, new strategies, new product and new go-to-market plans
- Nurture client relationships to ensure that our client’s success is Lunar’s success
- Focus on growth in market share and wallet share by delivering value add to to channel partners through insightful analytics and reporting to drive up top line revenue, reduce cost and improve operational efficiency
- Support the growth of the commercial team across the US as key targets are met
Desired Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the North American energy landscape and/or experience managing exceptional channel programs deploying large dollar ticket, durable goods, which require the integration of various products into a locally delivered solution.
- Deep understanding of the grid services markets, wholesale markets, and distributed energy resource management solutions
- Experience working with solar installers, aggregators and utilities
- Proven experience in initiating and closing complex solution sales with the potential for expanding those solutions with additional hardware, software and services.
- Experience building a pipeline, delivering deals, and growing a team to meet your objectives
- Ability to develop strategic plans, tactical plans, create alignment within the organization, and execute on those plans while providing the leadership team and company with insightful and holistic reporting
- Master communicator, able to convey complex products and services to a broad audience

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $150,000 - $190,000
