Jabil is seeking a Senior Accountant to work on-site in the Auburn Hill, Michigan location!
How will you make an impact? As the Senior Accountant, you will provide facility support as needed to the finance team to ensure accurate and timely month-end close and forecast reviews and updates, and any other ad-hoc requests. Duties will also include Capex Management, 1099 and 10k Reporting, JEs, accruals, account reconciliations, costing accountant assistance, and AR/AP Intercompany GBS team assistance.
What will you do?
Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end close procedures.
Prepare and enter key JEs and key account reconciliations for review.
Reviews general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness.
Accumulate and analyze information for the preparation of financial statements, ledgers, reports, and taxes.
Costing accountant assistance.
Asset/Capex Management.
10K and 1099 Reporting.
Assist in intercompany Charge Outs.
Assist payroll team in posting payroll.
Misc. tax filing and management.
Assist in preparing financial reports inside and outside the company.
AR/AR Shared Services Assistance.
Train other employees both within and outside the department.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting.
Experience:
At least 3 years of working as an Accountant; or other related professional experience required OR equivalent education and training is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-editing skills.
A solid understanding of accounting principles is required.
Advanced Excel skills.
SAP Experience is strongly preferred.
Strong Finance knowledge – (AP/AR, general ledger, accruals, fixed assets, basic cost accounting).
Excellent PowerPoint experience.
Accountable, Independent, and a Problem Solver.
