POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic

 

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Supervisor

 

LOCATION: Pennsauken, NJ

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining site equipment.

 

"$1,000 Sign on bonus for this position payable after 60 days of employment"

 

Night Shift:

 

• Wed: 12:30 PM - 6:30 PM
• Thurs. Friday. Saturday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Performs duties without close supervision; capable of coordinating and completing projects, on occasion with outside contractors
• Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment
• Mechanical troubleshooting, i.e. hydraulic and pneumatic, pumps, gear reducers, etc.
• Low pressure boiler operations/Black Seal license preferred; Must have or be willing to obtain Black Seal Boiler license
• Familiar with basic fabrication and welding techniques
• Basic electrical skill set and understanding desired
• Generate and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance management system/ Maximo and perform established PM and PDM activities
• Identify new opportunities for improvement
• Communicate with supervisor for direction to keep department informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly

 

About you:

 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Relative skill and ability with previous Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance experience
• Experience working in an industrial machinery facility/food facility experience preferred
• Must be able to pass Mechanical Aptitude test
• Must be able to work as part of a team to assure a quality product
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. constantly
• Must have the ability to access all areas of buildings; ladders, steps, catwalks, etc.
