Allied Health Professional - Clinical Lead (528844)

The role:

As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Metal Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Lead will provide high level support to the Team Leader, within the relevant community mental health service, in the provision of:

• Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
• Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
• Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
• Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.

The team:

• This is a new team working to build a better future for clients with Mental Health needs within the Prison system.
• The position will be located within the Risdon Prison Environment.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 
• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
   
   Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

1. Minimum of 3 years’ postgraduate clinical experience in the context of a community mental health team
