Sr Electronics Engineer

<p>We are now looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer (6664) within Wound Care R&amp;D Connected Devices.</p> <p> </p> <p>The purpose of the position</p> <p> </p> <p>The purpose of this position is to lead the sensor development within projects and activities to develop Wound Care products with integrated sensors and to identify and assess state-of-the-art technologies for enhancing Mölnlycke’s Wound Care products.</p> <p> </p> <p>These will be your key accountabilities</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Participate in internal early development projects and/or x-functional new development projects, leading the work of electronics and sensor development</li> <li>Sensor Identification and Assessment: Research, identification, and assessment of sensor technologies suitable for integration into our medical device products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety and meeting the performance needs for the thought application</li> <li>Proactively assess technologies to fuel pipeline</li> <li>Prototype Evaluation: Lead the evaluation of prototype sensor builds, both on component level and embedded into products, including design, construction, and testing, to validate performance and functionality against project requirements</li> <li>Test Plan Development: Create and execute on comprehensive test plans that encompass various sensor performance parameters and validation procedures to support product development</li> <li>Define and specify needs for new test methods </li> <li>Data Analysis: Analyze test results and data to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and make informed recommendations for enhancing sensor performance</li> <li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that sensor development processes and documentation adhere to relevant regulations, standards and guidelines (FDA, MDR, ISO, etc.)</li> <li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sensor development activities, test results, and design specifications</li> <li>Generate IP and support tech assessment of existing IP landscape where needed</li> <li>Identify, suggest and drive implementation of continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working </li> <li>Provide feedback to suppliers on component performance and specifications</li> <li>Coaching of more junior staff and build knowledge of sensors in the organization</li> <li>Actively contribute to strategy within assigned area </li> <li>Generate new product ideas</li> <li>Within assigned area:</li> <li>On top of competitive landscape and IP landscape </li> <li>On top of technology &amp; supplier landscape </li> <li>Understand customer needs </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> Capabilities, Qualifications and Experience</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, chemistry, life science or equivalent. Ph.D. is a plus</li> <li>10 years’ experience within product development </li> <li>5 years’ experience working within sensor development, integration, and evaluation, preferably in the medical technology or healthcare industry</li> <li>Strong understanding of various sensor types and their applications</li> <li>Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools</li> <li>Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to medical device development, in specific towards embedded systems and electrical equipment (FDA, MDR, ISO, etc.)</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li> <li>Fluent in written and spoken English</li> <li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail</li> <li>Project management experience</li> <li>Assigned business area knowledge and general business acumen</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>Please contact hiring manager Anders Hermansson, </em>R&amp;D Manager Hardware and Software Connected Devices,<em> if questions. Please apply at earliest convenience, we are reviewing candidates continuously.</em></p>
