Role description:
The Director of Regional Quality and Technical Services will provide support to our plants and customers within a product category to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction. The primary focus of this role is to support the plants in implementing the Ardagh Quality System and monitoring the customer results and internal metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities:

Support the plant in implementing the Ardagh Quality System, driving manufactured quality, and addressing needs to improve customer quality performance

Review quality performance data and help the plants identify actions for quality improvement and Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction

Lead the Technical Service Engineering team in gathering feedback for improving customer quality performance

Support new product/problematic item production runs in the plants

Support the development of plant-quality resources to support the succession plan

Review plant needs for quality and process-related equipment and helps identify and justify potential technology solutions

Create an environment between our plants, support teams, and our customers which fosters continuous improvement in quality and service results

Support plant and functional support teams to drive effective root cause, corrective actions, and closure

Partner with customers, commercial team, and plant teams for claim resolution

Lead and support internal and external quality audits while supporting plant teams with action item closure

Coach and mentor Technical Service Engineering team members

Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities
Minimum skills / qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
-
Eight (8) years in a manufacturing environment with direct experience in a quality management role

Knowledge of current quality methodologies and ASQ quality management principles

Proficient communication and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to travel up to 80%
Preferred skills / qualifications:

Previous glass manufacturing experience

Effective leadership skills and the ability to influence others
Compensation
The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $127,900 and $191,900 per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
