Post Fab Pick and Place Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pick and Place Process Engineer to join our 300mm Post Fab Processing team in Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, NY.  This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our semiconductor manufacturing processes as we ramp into volume manufacturing. 

• Develop and maintain robust pick-and-place processes for semiconductor packaging and assembly. 

• Evaluate and qualify new materials, tools, and equipment for pick-and-place operations. 

• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and throughput. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and manufacturing, to support new product introductions. 

• Analyze process data and apply statistical methods to drive continuous improvement. 

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. 

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related degree 

• 3+ years of direct Pick and Place Processing work experience in the semiconductor industry. 

Skills: 

• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and pick-and-place processes. 

• Proficient in SPC, DOE, and data analysis tools. 

• Demonstrated success in yield, throughput, and cost improvement initiatives. 

• Familiarity with standard metrology, inspection, and failure analysis techniques. 

Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $98,700 to $167,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
