The Boeing Company is looking for a System & Network Administrator Engineer to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

The Infrastructure and System Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level System & Network Administrator Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity

  • Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements

  • Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work

  • Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements

  • Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support

  • work with the Infrastructure Manager to help transform the existing Test IT infrastructure and Tools, implementing the best practices to manage server room

  • Leverages technical knowledge of infrastructure to manage, maintain, improve, deploy and harden complex Test infrastructure

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification

  • Experience managing data center and large IT systems

  • Experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux

  • Experience in VMWare Virtualization

  • Experience in Enterprise Storage

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • ITIL 4 certification

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification

  • Experience in Cyber Security

  • Experience in Oracle Solaris

  •  Experience in Cisco switches, ASA and Palo Alto Firewall
