As a Personnel Security Specialist (PERSEC) your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required to interface with internal as well as external customers at all levels. You will use your effective organizational skills as you prioritize customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. As a self-starter, you will be capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, and be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross-functional teams.
What You Will Do
- Request security paperwork from candidates and ensures the paperwork is accurate and complete
- Review and process requests for personnel clearances for access to classified programs
- Upload Personnel Security Questionnaires (PSQ) from candidates to eSecurity database
- Submit Personnel Security Clearance Justification on required candidates
- Implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Protects employee's personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and other applicable Government regulations
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in industrial security or an advanced degree in related field.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued To Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Working experience with JIRA, JADE, DISS, Access Commander, and eSecurity
- Knowledge of NISPOM and DoD 5205.07 Volumes 1 - 4 requirements
- Administrative and office management background
- Ability to solve problems of limited scope and complexity
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Preferred associate’s degree
