About the role

Description

The Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for an Endowed Chair at the rank of Full Professor (tenured) to begin in the Fall of 2026 whose research program will support the mission of the university’s Poverty Initiative.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a record of research excellence with a strong emphasis on issues related to poverty, a proven capacity for leadership, evidence of superlative teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a capacity to support and shape exciting new university programs. We especially seek candidates whose work has strong synergies with existing faculty research and initiatives across campus. Duties include research, teaching, and service. A PhD in Economics is required.
