Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Second Shift)
Fresh Baguette bakery is expanding its Maintenance team to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises and machinery for our two production centers and eight stores. Maintenance tasks will range from HVAC installations, walk-in cooler/freezer, oven, mixer, to plumbing, etc.
We are seeking to have a first and second shift for our facilities and are looking for second shift technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Upgrade equipment.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Use and implement CMMS
- Communicate with efficiency in the software Team.
Requirements:
- Driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
- Works well independently and with others
- Good communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- First aid, low-voltage safety, OSHA, and/or any other relevant certificates are a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) will be a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment and with a sense of urgency, when required
- Ability to work autonomously
Work Schedule:
The schedule is indicative and provisional. They are subject to adjustments at anytime.
- During the first of few weeks of training, to be autonomous: Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM
- Upon completing training: Tuesday to Saturday from 2:30PM to 11:00PM
Location:
- Primary location: Germantown Production Center
- Travel by company vehicle to our stores in DC, Maryland, and Virginia
Salary:
- Full time, 40hrs/week
- From $23.50/hr to $30.00/hr depending on experience + $1.00/hr for working the second shift
