Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Program Manager to lead and scale critical fraud and risk programs across our platforms focused on gift card ordering, processing, and issuance. This role will be instrumental in aligning cross-functional stakeholders, driving fraud / risk mitigation initiatives, and driving multi-team programs in a fast-paced fintech environment resulting in intended outcomes.  You’ll work at the intersection of risk, compliance, operations, engineering, and product teams to build programs that safeguard our platforms and customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in program management within fintech or payments, with deep experience in fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Own the strategy, design, end-to-end planning and delivery of fraud and risk management programs, aligning with company-wide goals and compliance standards.  Lead program governance, including risk management, cross-team dependencies, and resolution of issues.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Engineering, Product, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to define and deliver initiatives that reduce fraud losses and improve detection systems.
  • Fraud Risk Frameworks: Develop and enhance policies, controls, and playbooks related to fraud detection, escalation procedures, and post-incident reviews.
  • Roadmap Management: Create and manage program roadmaps, defining key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Collaborate with data and analytics teams to monitor fraud KPIs and analyze trends.  Use data and metrics to evaluate progress, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates, reporting, and presentations to executive leadership on program status, risk posture, and fraud trends.
  • Regulatory Readiness: Support audits, regulatory exams, and due diligence by preparing program documentation and leading responses related to fraud risk.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years focused on fraud, risk, or compliance within fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Proven success in leading large-scale, cross-functional engineering and risk programs in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of the gift card or prepaid card ecosystem, including fraud detection systems, transaction monitoring, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.  Able to influence and lead without direct authority.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and program dashboards (e.g., Power BI).  Proficiency with program management tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong decision-making, risk management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications a plus.

Benefits

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $157,030.00 to $212,000.00

Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only:$125,100.00 to $168,900.00
