ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL

MEDICAID FRAUD DIVISION
Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join her Medicaid Fraud Division as an Assistant Attorney General to handle complex criminal and civil enforcement actions related to allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings.
Primary Duties: The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex civil and criminal matters. Key responsibilities include partnering with federal and state agencies and civilian investigators to investigate allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings.
The Assistant Attorney General will conduct criminal and civil investigations, including drafting administrative demands, civil investigative demands, grand jury subpoenas, prosecution memoranda, and search warrants, presenting evidence to grand juries, and engaging in settlement and plea negotiations. The Assistant Attorney General will also litigate criminal and civil enforcement actions, including handling pretrial motions and discovery, drafting legal memoranda on motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, motions in limine, and summary judgment motions, and conducting bench and jury trials in both courts across the Commonwealth.
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt. Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions.
Salary: $87,500 - $130,595, commensurate with JD year.
