Security Automation Engineer position:
We are seeking a motivated Security Automation Engineer to enhance our security posture by developing and implementing innovative solutions. You will contribute to the architecture and design of security automation across the organization and provide guidance on how to securely automate processes. You will also contribute to the design and development of a security automation service to streamline various security functions and processes across the organization. This role requires a solid understanding of security principles, API design, automation technologies, and scripting languages, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You will collaborate with the Security Operations and Product Security teams to optimize security throughout the business.

Essential Job Functions
• Security Automation Architecture & Design: Partner with engineering teams to design secure and scalable automation architectures for security tools and organizational processes. Define security requirements for automation solutions and guide teams on best practices.
• Security Automation Service Development: Contribute to the design and development of a security automation service for standardized access to core security functions, leveraging technologies such as .NET, PowerShell, Bicep, and low-code/no-code tools, to automate IAM, threat containment, incident response, audit/assurance, and reporting.
• Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with Security Operations and Product Security to integrate automated solutions, optimize incident response, and automate security testing.
• Emerging Technologies Research: Research emerging security technologies and provide recommendations for improvement of automation capabilities.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation scripts, playbooks, workflows, and security solutions.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with engineering teams to understand AI capabilities and assist in identifying opportunities for security automation to ensure adequate controls.
• Mentorship & Team Development: Act as a mentor to junior security team members, sharing expertise and providing guidance on product security principles, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
• Security Policy & Standards Development: Help develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines for the organization. Promote security best practices and raise awareness among engineering teams.
