Instructor (Legal)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards). Basic Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in a subject-matter field appropriate to this position; OR Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. GS-12 Grade Level:: In addition to the basic education requirements mentioned above, the applicant must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level that includes: (1) Providing instructions on law enforcement; criminal prosecution and/or criminal defense to law enforcement personnel; (2) preparing or developing course outlines and lesson plan materials; and (3) reviewing curriculum for revision due to course content or training requirements changes. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date.
