Everstream Analytics is looking for a Senior Researcher/ Supply Chain Expert/ Industry Expert/ Supply Chain Consultant specialized in the oil, gas and chemicals industry to join our Intelligence Solutions team. As a member of the team, you will join a diverse team of dynamic people speaking 22 languages collectively! You will help reinforce a culture where resiliency, responsiveness and critical thinking are integrated into every aspect of what we do.

As a Senior Researcher/ Supply Chain Expert/ Industry Expert/ Supply Chain Consultant with relevant knowledge of the oil, gas and chemicals sector, you will join a dynamic team of people focused on our next generation product, contributing to building out our unique dataset of company relationships in the oil, gas, and chemicals industry by researching and validating sub-tier supplier relationships, analyzing the flow of petrochemical goods between companies, and writing intelligence briefs on the risks the oil, gas, and chemicals sector faces.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in Data Science, Customer Success, and Sales to create innovative strategies and develop programs that help build sustainable business operations. You’ll apply your curiosity and interest for quantitative and qualitative data to enable our customers to make sense of sub-tier supply chain risks their businesses are exposed to.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Principal Accountabilities

• Research company relationships in the oil, gas, and chemicals industry, in particular sub-tier relationships in collaboration with a cross-function industry team involving Data Science, Customer Success, Sales, etc.
• Analyze the flow of intermediate goods between the companies, in particular in the upstream supply chain.
• Engage with customers on the research through presentations and discussions to build out and validate our industry knowledge of sub-tier supply chains.
• Write risk analysis (real-time and long-form reports) for critical events in the petrochemicals industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in industry-specific research for the oil, gas, and chemicals sector
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative information.
• Effective time management and a detail-oriented approach
• Interest in risk analysis and current affairs, as well as a basic understanding of supply chain processes.
• Self-starter with a curious attitude and a willingness to learn and master new technologies.
• Ability to act easily in a global environment, with understanding of cultural differences and behaviour.

English: Proficient, both oral and written.
