Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician

Need To Know

We are seeking a driven Accuracy Checking Technician to join an established pharmacy team at our Boots pharmacy in Broughton Retail Park, Chester.

Your role will be to support Pharmacists to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.

As the face of the dispensary, you are key to helping us change for the better in the local community!

You will be conducting the crucial final accuracy checks on dispensed medication, checking drug names, and quantities match the label.

You are the last person to see medicines or products before they are used by a patient or customer!

Shift Pattern:
Shifts will be split over two days including late nights and occasional weekends.

Pharmacy Opening Times:

Monday- Friday 9am-8pm (late night pharmacy hatch open until 9pm)
Saturday 9am- 7pm
Sunday 11am-5pm

You must be registered on the GPhC register to be eligible for this role.

Boots can accept minimum NVQ level 3, and we offer boots ACT training – 6 weeks. Or, completion of an Accuracy in Dispensing (AID) course, accredited by the GPhC or ACT qualified candidates hold an NVQ Level 4.
