Position Overview

Under the Division of 911, the Radio Network Services Bureau (RNSB) Bureau Chief is responsible for the management of all aspects of statewide law enforcement communications resources including personnel, fiscal management, communications engineering, technical maintenance, data management, associated training, and other resources to accomplish the Bureau's goals and objectives. Through subordinate managers, directs and controls personnel, fiscal management, communications engineering, technical maintenance, data management, associated training, and other resources to accomplish the bureau's goals and objectives. Evaluates administrative and operations policies and procedures and recommends and implements changes. Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and including discharge. ​​​​​​​Establishes annual goals and objectives.​​​​​​​Provides guidance and training to assigned staff. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a diverse subordinate staff and understand the complex components of emergency communications systems including mobile and portable radios, vehicle installations, and radio towers. Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
