Position Summary:

Laronde is seeking a scientific leader and pioneer to conceive, champion, and implement the application of the eRNA modality to identify novel therapeutics to treat hepatic disorders.  The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of NASH biology and drug discovery and will be eager to apply their experience to new therapeutics.  They will bring creativity to the rigorous pursuit of new drugs and will contribute both intellectually and technically to advance eRNA applications to NASH and other hepatic indications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific and strategic leadership in the application of eRNA therapies to NASH
• Establish and lead project teams from conception to clinical evaluation
• Provide creative, state of the art solutions to address broader company scientific objectives
• Provide disease biology expertise to diverse teams to support the development of eRNA therapeutics
• Report, document, and present high quality scientific work

Required Qualifications:

• PhD and 8 or more years of experience in drug discovery, physiology, or a related discipline, with an emphasis on NASH or other hepatic diseases
• Experience with preclinical evaluations of therapeutics
• Strong publication record of high-quality scientific discovery in their discipline
• Self-motivated and hardworking individual capable of succeeding in diverse projects
• Team-oriented with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharma or biotech experience in drug discovery
• Experience in hepatic rare disease biology or human genetics of NASH
